Guadalajara is the province of Castilla-La Mancha with the highest number of agreements obtained in mediation

One more year, Guadalajara where the most resort is Labor Arbitration Jury as a method of conflict resolution.

During the presentation of balance of activity of the FoundationSusana Blas, provincial delegate of Economy and Employment, has highlighted this figure of increase in the number of files processed by 27.3 percent.

Increase in data

This balance has been carried out on this first half of the year, where it has been possible to see an increase in the number of agreements obtained in mediation, reaching almost 66 percent. It represents 18 points more increase than last year, 2020, and almost 12.5 points above the regional average.

If we continue investigatings files processed, it has been identified that during the first half of 2021 a total of 42 collective mediations that affected 45 companies and a total of 10,449 people, 6 percent more than during 2020. Each resolved mediation has affected an average of 232 people.

Susana Blas has expressed that, “These figures demonstrate the degree of trust that exists on the part of companies and workers in the province in this system and the important function of mediation and resolution of collective conflicts that it performs extrajudicially, avoiding legal costs, “lost work hours and labor conflict.”

Origin of conflicts

The origin of the conflicts has been studied and 90.5 percent have been related to conflicts over the interpretation and/or application of the Social Jurisdiction Law. The topics covered in the mediations have been very varied, and stand out in matters of salaries, work calendar, work times, interpretation and/or application of agreements, agreements or pacts or restructuring processes.

Labor Arbitration Jury
