WHAT IS INTERCULTURAL MEDIATION?

 

We conceive the Intercultural Mediation as a resource available to people from diverse cultures, which acts as a bridge, in order to facilitate relationships, encourage communication and promote integration between people or groups, belonging to one or more cultures.

 

IN WHICH CONFLICTS DO YOU INTERVENE? 

Generally, Intercultural Mediation has the same areas of action as mediation itself, which are the following:

Familiar scope: dealing with relationship or parent/child problems, for example.

Neighborhood Area: addressing problems of coexistence between neighbors, problems with the owners, normally triggered by community fees, noise or problems of coexistence in common areas.

Labor sphere: to help in communication between employer and employee or to help with possible adaptation problems.

Educational Field: mediating problems between teachers and students, coexistence problems between the students themselves, communication problems between teachers and families, etc.

Ambit Health: Support to carry out different procedures, linguistic translations in consultations to make understanding possible between medical professionals and patients, prevention and health promotion actions between different groups.
