  • The demands and needs felt by the residents of the district will be organized by grouping them into work tables.
  • Street education actions: recruitment, orientation and socio-educational intervention activities in an open environment with young people and adults.
  • Visits to public spaces, design and development of activities that generate dynamics of participation and coexistence aimed at optimal use of public space and district resources.
  • Mediation in neighborhood conflicts or between individuals that are detected by the project itself or by municipal technicians.

Requirements

  • Possess a Diploma/Degree in Social Education, Social Work or similar in the social field.
  • Provide a minimum of 2 years of experience in social integration and sociocultural mediation (only that which refers to the exercise of functions as a mediator will be taken into account).
  • Providing specific training in mediation, as well as any other training related to the position, will be highly valued.
  • Commitment, flexibility, teamwork, planning and organization, analytical skills.

  • Plan, execute and evaluate the intercultural mediation activities of the childhood on the move program: Psychosocial care, information, mediation and interpretation, vulnerability detection, conflict prevention and resolution, case management, community work, capacity building.
  • Contribute to the design, execution and monitoring of psychosocial activities for child and youth participation.
  • Facilitate networking with other agents (centers, services, etc.) to guarantee the quality of the response and service.
  • Comply with the documentary management of the service (attendance lists, pedagogical contracts, reports, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the entity's advocacy, communication and dissemination actions.
  • Any other task in accordance with your professional category that is entrusted to you by your manager.

Requirements

  • University Degree in Social Work, social integration, psychology, mediation or similar.
  • Training and knowledge in: Protection, children's rights and/or child and youth participation.
  • Use of tools at a professional level: Office automation Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
  • Proficiency in the following languages is essential: Dariya Arabic and French and/or English.
  • Experience requested: At least 2 years of experience working with minors and/or migrants. Experience in the design and implementation of intervention tools with children and monitoring activities.
  • Knowledge and experience in community work is valuable. Valuable experience in networking, psychosocial intervention and interculturality.

  • Facilitate communication processes between unaccompanied foreign minors and the professionals of the Residences.
  • Promote knowledge of the culture and values of our society.
  • Guide and advise the professionals of the Residence to carry out an appropriate intervention with migrant minors from the multicultural competence of the figure of the mediator.
  • Help in the educational task and sociocultural adaptation of the minors in care, facilitating their understanding of any instructions given to them by the Residence's Technical Team.
  • Promote knowledge of the rules of coexistence, as well as the organization and operation of the center.
  • Facilitate coexistence relationships within the Residence, providing ethnocultural knowledge that promotes rapprochement and understanding between people from different cultures (minors and professionals).
  • Intervene in the management and resolution of possible conflicts that could occur both inside and outside the Residence (educational centers, work centers, leisure areas, etc.).
  • Facilitate the communication of professionals with the minor's family of origin, in order to know the minor's location and situation, and collaborate in the transmission of information and the sending of documentation to achieve full identification. 

Requirements

  • Training cycles, or professional certificates, of intermediate level in subjects related to the sociocultural area, high school and/or proven experience in carrying out tasks of the same or similar nature.
  • Provision of one of the following qualifications: the mother tongue of the mediators will be Arabic.
  • Intermediate or higher level training cycle in subjects related to the sociocultural field, high school diploma and/or proven experience in carrying out tasks of a similar nature.
  • Arabian language. French or English as an additional language is valuable.
