Today, Dec. 18, we attended the breakfast in which they participated Mr. Emilio de Llera, Minister of Justice and Interior of the Government of Andalusia, and Mr. Javier González de Lara, President of the Confederation of Businessmen of Andalusia, talking about Mediation as an instrument in conflict resolution.
The event was attended by Mr. Antonio Pulido, President of the Institute and the Cajasol Foundation, and has been moderated by Ms. Pilar Calatayud, Managing Director of the Mediara Andalusian Public Foundation.
All the speakers have highlighted the importance of disseminating a culture where mediation is promoted as a judicial alternative for conflict resolution.
Mr. Javier González de Lara, clearly states that SERCLA is a great example of mediation in labor relations and Mr. Emilio de Llera, intervenes by emphasizing that if we replace litigation with mediation we achieve solutions that satisfy the parties more.
Both remind us that the execution time of the mediation process is much more fast than the traditional way. A mediation process lasts on average about 60 days, while the usual alternative can last approximately 550 days. The speed in resolving conflicts can be decisive in some cases. Especially in commercial aspects, in family businesses, where emotions play one of the main roles.
Finally, we highlight from the colloquium the interest on the part of the organizations in executing policies and strategies to provide accessibility the population to use the resource of mediation.
From Be a Mediator, We support any initiative that improves the sector and makes known the many advantages.
