Mediation of the opportunity in the face of a family crisis

It is a resource little known by the population, but it works very well, avoiding long and costly judicial processes, reaching an agreement for both parties.

There are many experiences that are detailed in the article, such as inheritances and divorces among others, always emphasizing that the agreement what is reached is thanks to both parties and has the same validity of a private agreement between parties.

Laura del Valle, technician of the Family Mediation Registry of the Junta de Andalucía, explains in the article that is offered to the entire population «We are like the lawyer's duty shift." The process establishes that if the parties have the right to a public defender, they have the right to free mediation. A list of professionals registered by municipalities is provided to interested parties and this is how the process would begin.

The purpose of the mediation process is, in general, to ensure that the parties in conflict reach equitable, fair, stable and lasting agreements, helping to avoid, where appropriate, the opening of judicial procedures or contributing to the resolution of those already initiated. .

Some of the conflicts object of the family mediation They are for example:

– Separation or Divorce.

– The relationships of minors with their relatives up to the third degree of consanguinity or affinity, guardians or guardians.

– The exercise of parental authority, guardianship or curatorship.

– Conflicts arising from the visitation and communication regime of grandchildren with their grandfathers and grandmothers.

– Conflicts that arise between the adoptive family, the adopted son or daughter and the biological family in the search for the origins of the adopted person.

– Conflicts that arise between the foster family, the foster person and the biological family.

– The dissolution of de facto couples.

Furthermore, there are other alternative routes when the conflict is of a civil and commercial,  adapting at all times to the needs of the interested parties to reach an agreement.
