Educational Mediation Workshop | #STOPBullying

“Educational mediation, first steps for the movement STOP Bullying.”

On July 9 and 10, the summer workshop on “educational mediation, first steps for the movement” will take place. STOP Bullying.”

On the occasion of this event that receives registrations daily and due to its current and worrying theme for fathers, mothers and educators, today we are going to introduce the concept and dynamics of this exceptional workshop for mediators, educators and professionals-students in general.

Working as an educational mediator is an arduous and complex task that goes hand in hand with preventing situations of violence between equals.

The International School of Mediation against bullying

Through this course, the International Mediation School and the Pablo de Olavide University They will give the keys to understanding bullying, knowing how to act in the face of this phenomenon and carrying out intervention actions in those conflictive situations that occur within the framework of the educational field.

We understand bullying as the behavior of physical and/or psychological persecution carried out by one student against another, whom he or she chooses as the victim of repeated attacks. This negative and intentional action places the victim in positions from which they can hardly get out by their own means (Olweus, 1993).

What will we see in this Educational Mediation workshop?

Through a continuous theoretical-practical debate we will raise awareness of bullying and intervention measures both in schools, HEIs, and at the university level.

We will work on real cases of bullying, we will determine the incidence of said phenomenon and the characteristics of the victim and the perpetrator and socio-educational measures at the family level. We will announce actions for diagnosis and prevention.

We will define the role of the educational mediator in cases of bullying.

Likewise, we will address the need to implement measures to create the platform Stop bullying, with the ideas that we can build together through the reflection that we carry out during the course.
