The meeting to establish the monitoring committee of the Mediation Information Point (PIMA), carried out quarterly with the aim of evaluating its operation, was hosted last Friday by the Territorial Delegation of Regeneration, Justice and Local Administration of Malaga.
The meetings will be held quarterly, although they can be called at any time if necessary to detect possible problems and thus propose solutions.
The PIMAs operate in the main judicial headquarters of all the provincial capitals, as well as in Algeciras (Cádiz) and Marbella (Málaga). Recently, after a pilot test, they have decided to extend their contract for two years with the objective of disseminating, raising awareness and promoting mediation between jurisdictional orders.
All citizens who have a conflict can go to it, without the need for it to be judicialized, although it may also be the courts themselves who refer it to the PIMA.
