SAMU needs to recruit three Educational Technical Assistants and one Intercultural Mediator to work in one of our Residential Centres in the Huesca area. We are looking for professionals with at least 1 year of demonstrable experience in working with adolescents from the protection system, with immediate availability and flexible hours.
Functions of the Educational Technical Assistant
- Collaborate in the execution of the educational program of the center and individual of minors or young people, under the supervision of the educator and in coordination with the rest of the educational team, carrying out auxiliary, complementary and support tasks for their work.
- Performs observation tasks recording shift incidents through the various established channels.
- Serves and provides, like the rest of the staff at the center or program, the basic care and ensuring physical integration and mental health of minors and young people.
- Prepare and complete all documents considered appropriate in accordance with their functions; participate in the development of specific projects based on the needs of the minors and the activities of the center or program.
- Accompany minors on their trips or outings, management, consultations, walks, excursions and leisure and free time animation in general.
- During the activities you will be accompanied and supervised by the educator.
Functions of the intercultural mediator
- Support educators to develop the methodology correctly and intervene with minors by facilitating spaces for emotional and normalized coexistence.
- It will be a model for identifying the minors cared for in terms of behavior patterns and performance of integrative social roles in today's society.
- They will participate in the organization of daily life activities (health, school, hygiene...) based on the educational objectives planned for each minor.
- Ensure the proper functioning of coexistence and compliance with the regulations of the resource.
Profile
- Arabic and/or French and/or Wolof and/or Bambara native level.
- Level B1 of Spanish.
- Proof of the requirement of not having been convicted by a final judgment for any crime against freedom and sexual indemnity.
- Office package management.

Intercultural Mediator for youth services in Madrid
Job Description
Intercultural Mediators Needed for Residential Care Service for Unaccompanied Migrant Adolescents/Youth as an alternative for care in a family context.
They will act as interpreters in communication between minors and professionals, mediating in conflict situations arising from language difficulties and/or cultural or other differences.
They will be able to guide the center's professionals from an intercultural perspective. in order to carry out an appropriate intervention with minors. They will therefore complement educators and auxiliary technicians in the performance of their work, being coordinated by the former.
They will have qualification in vocational training cycles, or professional certificates, of intermediate level in subjects related to the sociocultural area, high school and/or proven experience in carrying out tasks of the same or similar nature. They must have a proven command of, at least, the Arabic language.

- Develop A pilot of the Barnahus service model aimed at preventing child sexual violence, as well as responding to the needs of child victims of sexual violence, and avoiding their re-victimization and secondary victimization.
- Placing the interests of children at the centre of praxis and decision-making, ensuring their right to be heard and receive information and avoiding undue delays.
- Evaluate the results and learnings obtained from the pilot project in order to adjust and adapt the service model for child and adolescent care in the Community of Madrid.
