And perhaps in this special moment that we are experiencing caused by the pandemic, there are many social workers who have performed functions as conflict managers, applying methods and techniques to prevent and/or provide solutions to the problematic situations that arise. arise in the various areas of the profession, whether public or private.
In the face of a conflictive situation, at an individual, group or community level, social workers act by assessing and analyzing the situation in a neutral and objective manner, to understand the causes that caused it and thus, offer an appropriate solution to the situation. each circumstance, achieving a positive transformation of the situation, and for the parties to actively participate in decision-making, taking responsibility for both their actions and the search for solutions.
As in the case of Murcia, where the regional administration recently announced the incorporation of these professionals to help manage the social crisis in cases of quarantine and isolation due to positive COVID-19.
