Intercultural Mediator in Marcilla (Navarra)
Job Description
At the GINSO Association (Association for the Management of Social Integration), we have focused our main objective on the social integration of minors and young people in social conflict and groups at risk of exclusion since 2001.
We are currently looking for an Intercultural Mediator (with ARABIC) for the rotating shift, to start with us and initially join with a TEMPORARY contract (covering leave), working in one of our Juvenile Centers located in MARCILLA, NAVARRA.
Features
- Proceed to study the information that appears in the young person's file.
- Complement the personal study and diagnosis and social aspects of the young person, considering key aspects such as personal and family history, the migration process, history of lack of protection, sociocultural keys of the country of origin, expectations and adjustment to the sociocultural reality, access to documentation, educational background and pre-employment experiences and the search for family alternatives in the young person's socio-family network.
- Collaborate with the educational team in the planning and development of the assessment and care of minors.
- Support the educational team in the following key objectives: language skills, administrative regularization, socio-community integration and socio-labor promotion.
- Collaborate in identifying the family of origin and in the assessment of the young person's situation and the possibility of family reintegration.
- Lead and promote the search for potential reference figures, foster parents or mentors in the child or adolescent's socio-family or socio-community network.
Collaborate in the assessment of the suitability of potential foster or reference families for the child and/or adolescent.
Required training (any of the following)
- Qualification: Higher Degree in Social Integration, or university degree in the field of Social Sciences, Education or Psychology, preferably a Diploma/University Degree in Social Education and/or Social Work.
Experience requested
- Experience with related groups of at least two years.
- Certificate of Crimes of a Sexual Nature. Negative certificate requirement.
- Recommended: specific training in the area of Intercultural Mediation of at least 200 hours (course).
Other requirements
- Training and experience required to carry out the duties (qualification, additional training, specific and on-the-job experience, etc.)
- Mediation capacity.
- Empathy and assertiveness to intervene in conflicts.
- Basic computer skills.
- Driving license.
Offered:
- Type of three-month temporary contract
- Salary: 25,969.20 euros gross per year.
- Schedule: Rotating shift (morning – afternoon – weekends)

Intercultural mediation educator. Melilla
Job Description
Save the Children requires the incorporation of an intercultural mediation educator in Melilla, to plan, execute and evaluate those activities that are carried out within the framework of formal and non-formal education in order to maximize the positive impact on children in situations of special social and/or economic vulnerability, reinforce the knowledge they already have and ensure the highest degree of absorption of it.

- Qplan, execute and evaluate activities Intercultural mediation of the childhood on the move program: information, mediation and interpretation, detection of vulnerabilities, prevention and resolution of conflicts.
- Contribute to the design, execution and monitoring of activities psychosocial participation of children and adolescents.
- Facilitate networking with other agents (centers, services, etc.) to ensure the quality of the response and service.
- Comply with the document management of the service: aassistance, contracts, reports, …
- Any other task in accordance with your professional category that is entrusted to you by your manager.
Requirements
- Til. university degree in Social Work, Education, Social Integration, Psychology, Intercultural Mediation, Pedagogy or related fields.
- Essential: Training and knowledge in: Protection, Children's rights and/or child and youth participation.
- Use of professional level tools: Office software – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access…
- Languages: Arabic and/or French. Valuable: Wolof, Bambara or Mandinka.
- Experience of at least 2 years working with minors and/or migrants is essential.
- Experience in the design and implementation of intervention tools with children and monitoring activities.
- Knowledge and experience in community work is valuable.
- Valuable experience in networking, psychosocial intervention and interculturality.

- Contract type: six months to one year, full time.
- Salary: Between €18,001 and €24,000 gross/year Gross/year
