Last Thursday, January 21, the European Mediation Day<\/strong> and different professional fields held commemorative events, with the aim of taking advantage of this celebration to promote and propagate the essential role that mediation plays every day in our society, remembering the existence of a methodology for conflict resolution<\/strong> different and, on many occasions, more appropriate to the classic solution through courts and tribunals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To celebrate this day, the International Mediation School together with the International Forum of Professional Mediators held the Mediation Day Where are we and where are we going?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What happened on the day?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the day, professionals from the mediation sector reviewed the latest news<\/strong> events and debated the future of mediation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Firstly, there was a brief presentation of the collaboration agreement signed between the International School of Mediation (EIM) and the International Forum of Professional Mediators (FIMEP), led by Mrs. Susana P\u00e9rez<\/strong> Warrior<\/strong> (General Director of EIM) and Mr. Javier Al\u00e9s Sioli<\/strong> (Director of FIMEP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the presentation we had the honor of having the participation of the General Secretary of Families of the Ministry of Health and Families of the Government of Andalusia, Mrs. Ana Carmen Mata<\/strong> Rich<\/strong>, which thanked the mediators for their work on behalf of Public Institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, his webinar began Mr. Ram\u00f3n Rodr\u00edguez Verdejo \u201cMonchi\u201d<\/strong>, sports director of Sevilla FC, accompanied by the academic director of EIM, Ms.<\/strong> Gabriela Al\u00e9s Beautiful<\/strong> and the director of FIMEP, d.<\/strong> Javier Al\u00e9s Sioli<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this webinar, \u201cMonchi\u201d shared multitude of anecdotes and lived experiences <\/strong>in his long and recognized professional career in it<\/strong> scope of negotiation<\/strong> and made an analysis of the fundamental keys to carry out a successful negotiation and reaching agreements<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colloquium \u00abPresent and future of mediation\u00bb<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To conclude, very interesting topics about mediation were discussed in the colloquium, starting from the comparison of the beginnings of mediation with the current one<\/strong>, which requires more science, much more study, training and specialization today, as he told us d.<\/strong> Angel Espiniella<\/strong> Menendez<\/strong>, Accredited Professor of Private International Law at the University of Oviedo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, it was analyzed the status of the mediation currently<\/strong> and the need to bring mediation to all educational centers and make mediation something transversal in the educational curriculum, as described to us Mrs. Eva Cabra V\u00e1zquez<\/strong>, President of A-Mediaci\u00f3n: Malaga Mediation Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And reaching the end of the colloquium, there was an excellent debate on the professional future of mediation<\/strong>, where they predict a lot of professional opportunities and hope that tomorrow, mediation will be found everywhere, as shared Mr. Javier Al\u00e9s Sioli<\/strong>, Director of the International Mediation Forum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The colloquium was moderated by Ms.<\/strong> Gabriela Al\u00e9s<\/strong>, Academic Director of EIM and Mrs. Susana P\u00e9rez<\/strong>, General Director of EIM. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, we would like to also recommend the institutional event commemorating the European Mediation Day held by the Ministry of Justice<\/strong> on January 20, in which two round tables were organized and the future of mediation and the public service of justice<\/a> <\/strong>from the perspective of the main State institutions and benefit administrations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
