Its jurisprudence applied at that time in Andalus included the concept of mediation, <strong>called \u00ab<em>sulh<\/em>&quot; in Arabic<\/strong>, where parties are encouraged to resolve their disputes through mediation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The turbulent Middle Ages of the Peninsula gave different terms that remind us of those first pioneers of this period. For example, in the Arabic part the term \u201c<strong><em>alfaqueque<\/em><\/strong>&quot;, with its namesake in Catalan <strong>\u201c<em>\u201cmostolaf\u201d<\/em><\/strong> and Aragonese <strong>\u201c<em>Exea<\/em>\u201d, <\/strong>which called the professional who was dedicated to mediating between the Christian and Muslim armies of the peninsula.
