Our proposal is the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">addressing environmental conflicts through mediation.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong>What is an environmental conflict?<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>We define environmental conflict as a particular type of social conflict in which the issue in dispute is environmental conditions and people&#039;s quality of life. In these conflicts there is an explicit controversy - of information, interests or values - between at least two interdependent parties that pursue supposedly incompatible goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong>The blog<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>We have a main section, News, in which we publicize the particular complexity of mediation in environmental conflicts and share - with our followers - reflections, research, interviews and experiences on the subject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When we say that environmental mediation has a special complexity we are referring, precisely, to the particular complexity of these conflicts that usually comes from the hand of <em><strong>any of these elements:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>One of the parties is usually a public body<\/li><li>Great power inequality between the parties<\/li><li>Important economic interests at stake<\/li><li>Technical complexity<\/li><li>Fundamental aspects of life are involved<\/li><li>There are big economic implications\u2026.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, we have open <em><strong>the following sections<\/strong><\/em>:<br>\u2013 Presentation of the initiative<br>\u2013 Bibliography accessible on INTERNET<br>\u2013 Service catalog<br>\u2013 Course: \u201cMediate environmental conflicts\u201d<br><em>(We will soon open a section on which we have been working for a couple of years: &quot;Map of environmental conflict in the Valencian Community&quot;).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong>Trajectory<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>In October 2011 we began our journey.
