When conflict doesn&#039;t fit neatly into a single category: Two people might be arguing over a sum of money, yet not be arguing solely about money. Behind the claim may lie a broken promise, a loss of trust, broken communication, or a need to feel heard. The opposite can also occur: a seemingly emotional disagreement may mask a technical difficulty requiring expert assessment before negotiation.
